So the load does not start with a load. It starts with exporting the parent records, running a VLOOKUP to paste the IDs into your file, and hoping nothing changed between the export and the import. Then you do it again for the next lookup field.
Smart Lookup Data Loader moves that step inside Salesforce. You tell it which column corresponds to which lookup, and it resolves the relationship as the records land.
What it does
Imports CSV files into any object. Standard or custom, the workflow is identical.
Auto-maps your headers. Column headers are read and matched against fields on the target object, so the mapping screen opens pre-filled rather than blank. Most clean files need no manual mapping at all.
Resolves lookups dynamically. Reference a parent record by account name, contact email or an external ID code. The loader finds the record during the import.
Upserts rather than blindly inserting. Choose the field or combination of fields that identifies an existing record, and the same file updates what exists and creates what does not.
Matches on several fields at once. Single-field matching is how duplicate accounts get created. Matching on a combination catches near-identical values that a single key would miss.
Reports errors per row. A failure tells you the line number and the field, so the fix is a correction in your file rather than an investigation.
