Common questions
Do we need to already have Salesforce?
No. We can set Salesforce up from scratch, including helping you apply for Salesforce's Power of Us programme, which gives eligible nonprofits their first 10 licences free. If you already have Salesforce, we can review and improve your existing setup.
What is the Salesforce Power of Us programme?
Power of Us is the Salesforce donation programme for eligible nonprofits. It gives you your first 10 Nonprofit Cloud licences free for as long as you qualify. We help eligible organisations apply. Our guide to Salesforce nonprofit pricing covers the details.
What is the difference between NPSP and Nonprofit Cloud?
NPSP, the Nonprofit Success Pack, is a managed package that adds nonprofit features to Sales Cloud. Nonprofit Cloud is Salesforce's newer nonprofit product, built into the platform, with person accounts, fundraising, programme management and outcome tracking. New nonprofit customers are generally set up on Nonprofit Cloud, while many existing organisations still run NPSP.
Should we migrate from NPSP to Nonprofit Cloud?
Not always straight away. NPSP orgs keep working, so the right time depends on your contract, the features you need and the state of your data. Moving to Nonprofit Cloud is a re-implementation rather than an upgrade, so we start with an assessment of your org and give you a plan and cost before you commit.
How long does a Salesforce nonprofit implementation take?
A basic setup typically takes 3 to 4 weeks, and a full implementation 6 to 10 weeks. Larger engagements are scoped individually and usually take 10 to 20 weeks. All timelines include data migration, configuration, testing and training.
Can you migrate data from Excel, HubSpot or other CRMs?
Yes. We migrate from spreadsheets, other CRMs such as HubSpot, Zoho and NationBuilder, and custom databases. Every migration covers an audit, field mapping, data cleansing and a validated import with row-level error reporting.
